Scripture Study for the week of  October 23rd, 2005

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love” (Ephes. 1:3-4). This passage expresses exultation in God’s choice of a people to salvation in three ways . . . .

The wealth. Though earthly irrecoverable urchins, their salvation is to all the bounty and royalty of heaven

The security. Though unstable wavering humans, their salvation is sure in His choice made before time.

The bliss. Though unlovable guilty sinners, their salvation is to be holy and without blame before Him in love.
