Scripture Study for the week of  March 5th, 2006

“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled” (Matthew 5:6). Will I ever get it, and do what is right? Well, no, not perfectly, you never will, yet this passage tells us there is great blessing in the realization of our inability, imperfection, and guilt before God for . . .

We will then look for righteousness outside themselves. Sinner friend the only source of true blessedness, and verily the only possibility of fullness is a righteousness that is ours in the Lord Jesus Christ.

“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” (2 Cor. 5:21).

“In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS” (Jeremiah 23:6).
