Scripture
Study for the week of September 4th, 2006
“Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ . . . that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel” (Philippians 1:27). Fans and athletes thrill over championships won by united efforts. Christians striving together in the gospel rejoice . . .
- Having the blessedness of comforting love, Spiritual fellowship, and profound mercy (Philippians 2:1).
- Obtaining the oneness of like minds, love, and heart (accord) (Philippians 2:2).
- Experiencing the otherness of strife ended, others esteemed, and Christ followed (Philippians 2:3-4).
Is our lifestyle (conversation) that which adorns (becomes) the gospel of Christ? For it to be so we must stand fast with one spirit and with one mind. May we repent of all that disables us from striving together for the faith of the gospel.
