Study for the week of January 8th, 2007
A study of salvation will reveal that God’s grace is responsible for every phase of salvation. The election of sinners to be saved, their redemption by the blood of Christ, their regeneration by the Holy Spirit, and their being preserved in Jesus Christ is all a matter of grace. First, let us notice that election is according to grace. More . . .
“According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved”
(Eph 1:4-6, bold printing inserted by Richard Halbgewachs).
